Alignment provided its creative and production services to a very special cause in 2011 — helping raise awareness and money to combat one of the oldest diseases on record, preeclampsia (a pregnancy-related disorder), which remains one of the leading causes of death for mothers and babies around the world. The Gala, hosted by ABC News anchor Diana Williams, was held at the Hilton Hotel in NYC and was a unique collaboration between two complementary and vital organizations, Foundation for America’s Blood Centers and the Preeclampsia Foundation.
Alignment designed the staging, provided the technical crew and audio visual support, created graphics and videos, facilitated live text fundraising with the audience texts and fundraising results displayed on our large screens, rehearsed, staged and produced the choir performances, provided speech coaching for the presenters, and even provided internships for local high school students to work on the program.
The video above features an original Alignment composition which was performed live by the New Jersey Youth Choir conducted by world-renowned composer Jim Papoulis. In March of 2012, Alignment CEO Peter Scott was named FABC’s 2011 Volunteer of the Year for his special work and contributions to this event. Watch his acceptance speech.
